THE CONVOY OF LELE LAFRIQUE ATTACKED YESTERDAY MONDAY IN BAMENDA
The convoy of the governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique was attacked on the night of Monday
Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique’s convoy was attacked on Monday night at Below Foncha as he was returning from the church where he attended the end-of-year Mass.
The procession of Adolphe Lélé Lafrique, governor of the North-West, fell on Monday around 19h, in an ambush erected by presumed secessionists in Below Foncha (Bamenda). The scene took place as this authority returned Mulang where he had just attended a year-end Mass.
The attackers had erected barricades on the road to prevent traffic and opened fire at the sight of the police vehicle that opened the procession.
There followed a response from the security forces that made it possible to repel the attackers. One casualty was registered among the Cameroonian forces, this is the police inspector Fossi Frankline.
Adolphe Lele is fine. He was able to return to his residence at Up Station.
