GAËLLE ENGANAMOUIT OPENS THE FIRST WOMEN’S FOOTBALL SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY.
Gaëlle Enganamouit, star of the Cameroonian women’s team, founded the “Rails Football Academy”, the first women’s football school in the country.
The official opening of the new academy took place Friday, January 4, 2019. For its beginnings, it will recruit 18 players who will be divided into three categories: the under-eight, under-13 and under-17.
I will give everything to train my younger sisters and help them grow. (…) With what I have today, I decided to help others, “said BBC Gaëlle Enganamouit, winner of the prize of the best female footballer 2015, awarded by the Confederation of African Football.
“We start with Yaoundé, but we call the players from other regions to be patient, because the academy will open to them,” promised Enganamouit.
For this initiative, this footballer who now plays for Avaldsnes IL, a Norwegian club, said to count on the support of the Cameroon Football Federation.

According to her, the first boarders will come to the academy only for training, but in the future, they will benefit from a boarding system, which will support their schooling.
