CAMEROON NEWS: FRANCE AND THE UK CALLS ON PAUL BIYA TO RESOLVE ANGLOPHONE CRISIS

It was also an opportunity for the international community to congratulate President-elect Paul Biya. Indeed, France, the United Kingdom and the United States spoke on the re-election of Paul Biya at the head of Cameroon, while congratulating the Cameroonian people for its maintenance of peace. They encourage this people to continue to keep the peace. They also took the opportunity to call on the President-elect to immediately resolve the Anglophone crisis through sincere and inclusive dialogue.
Moreover, the Anglophone crisis that has shaken Cameroon for more than two years now has already made a record of more than 100 displaced internal and external miles and more than 500 recorded deaths. This crisis is one of the major challenges facing President Paul Biya for this new seven-year term.
