2018 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: CLEMENT ATANGANA BENEFICIARY OF PAUL BIYA’S RE-ELECTION
cameroondailyjournal.com|The Cameroonian state plans to build the official residence of the president of the Constitutional Council in Bastos, one of the most affluent neighborhoods of the city of Yaoundé.
The announcement was made the day after the proclamation of the results of the presidential election celebrating the victory of Paul Biya.
The construction will cost 272,659 million CFA francs and will last eight months.
The call for tenders indicates that the building will be a public structure.
For some Internet users, this appears as a reward for Clement Atangana.
Others, however, point out that the residence of the president of the constitutional council will be a state property and not a private home.
The BBC contacted Judge Atangana and the government for their comments, but neither responded.
