Cameroon: The SDF’s Honorable Mba Ndam also declares his candidacy for the 2018 presidential election.
In 28 years of existence, the Social Democratic Front will live at its next national congress for the first time in its history, a real match for the election of the candidate who will represent this party leader of the opposition, in the next presidential election .
After having been the only candidate of the SDF in the presidential elections since its creation in 1990 , will Ni John Fru Ndi attempt a fifth time to succeed Paul Biya, the Head of State? The Chairman of the SDF continues to keep his intentions secret at three weeks of the National Congress of the SDF during which the candidate of this party for the presidential election of 2018 will be known.
But, for the first time in the history of this party, the succession of Ni John Fru will be disputed by at least two heavyweights of this party. Indeed, after the Honorable Joshua Osih, the first vice-president who declared Sunday, January 28, 2018 his candidacy for the SDF’s candidacy to the next presidential election, it is the turn of the Honorable Mbah Ndam to position himself as well, as challenger of Joshua Oshi.
Faithful to the unshaken chairman of the SDF, Joseph Mbah Ndam declared his ambitions yesterday Wednesday (January 31st) in his electoral stronghold in Batibo, department of Momo North West Region. Vice-President of the National Assembly, Joseph Mbah Ndam, a lawyer by training, has been a strong supporter of the Chairman for 28 years. Thus, the exit of this lieutenant among the lieutenants of Ni John Fru, is a strong signal that could confirm the announced retirement of Ni John Fru Ndi.
